Red alert

My strawberry plants are having a bumper year. I've had bowl after bowl of perfectly ripe fruit from them, and there's no sign of them slowing down yet!

I'd love to know what combination of factors has led to this sudden glut: have the plants reached a sudden maturity? Is it down to the weather? Have there been more pollinators about than usual?

Either way, the results are delicious. I'd like to call these strawberries the fruits of my labours, but I can't in all honesty take the credit.
