Where's winter?

The cow parsley that will foam into heavy-scented bloom in May to fringe the paths in London's parks and commons has been above ground for weeks now, and today (January 23) I found some struggling into very early bloom:

Like many plants this year it has been fooled by the mild winter we've had, even this week's too-brief frosty spell not enough to daunt its early bid for spring.
